a brief history
Polyrec Manufacturers (Pty) Ltd is a South African local manufacturer of glass media. Since 2023, we have established ourselves in the filtration industry providing filtration solutions to our cliental. Our goal is to enhance the quality of filtration for our customers while simultaneously decrease our global carbon footprint.
The directors of our business have over 15 years experience in the filtration industry. Our vision is to provide environmentally sustainable filtration solutions to South Africa and soon Southern African Countries. All of our machinery is locally manufactured tailored to produce the best quality glass media.

Sustainability in South Africa 2024
Although glass is promoted as infinitely recyclable, we still see staggering amounts glass products end up in landfills, where it may take millions of years to decompose to its natural sand like form. In turn our landfill sites' capacity are placed under pressure to accommodate for potentially recyclable materials.
Polyrec Manufacturers has taken the initiative to up-cycle tons of glass produced by the Western Cape into GFM. With loadshedding adding to our economic crisis, we rely on innovative minds to reduce our costs while improving efficiency.
